Students at Coal City Middle School have been dedicating the month of February to developing character. Each month, students engage with a new character trait.
This month, several students were recognized for their outstanding character:
Sixth grade honorees included Adelia Gonzalez and Rylan Davy. Seventh graders Teigan Trofimchuck and Ty Gigler also received recognition. From the eighth grade, Jaycee Chase and Ty Gigler were acknowledged. Encore students Cora Bill and Nolan Cardenas were celebrated as well.
Each student was awarded a certificate and a gift card for their achievements. The school will next focus on building confidence and self-worth among its students.
