On February 14, Ms. Martino's class celebrated Valentine's Day with a series of activities designed to combine learning and fun. The day began with students tackling two-step math word problems related to candy and Valentine's Day cards.

The class also engaged in a creative exercise by making 'Love Mugs,' where each student listed five things they love. The afternoon featured a party during which students exchanged Valentine cards, enjoyed treats, and participated in various games.

Among the activities were a ring toss game, Valentine's-themed bingo, and a marshmallow relay race using straws. "We played a Valentine's Day trivia game in which students learned about the origin of Valentine's Day, fun facts about candy, and learned how much money Americans spend each year on their pets for Valentine's Day. It was a fun and exciting day," said Ms. Martino.
