Morris Resident Fred Davidson, Veteran and Skilled Handyman, Dies at 84

Fred Davidson, 84, of Morris, Illinois, and formerly of Coal City, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2025, at Serenity Estates of Morris. Born in Dongola, Illinois, Fred served in the United States Army in Germany before embarking on a career, including 29 years at Quantum. An active individual, he enjoyed cycling, golf, and supporting the St. Louis Cardinals. Fred will be remembered for his humor, love for family, and dedication to his loved ones. Survived by his wife, four daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and sister-in-law, he will be laid to rest with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Contributions in his memory can be made to a Veteran’s Organization, Lightways Hospice, or Coal City United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Reeves, Fruland and Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory.
