Phil Mehochko, Sr., aged 87, of Mazon, Illinois, passed away on May 12, 2025, at Morris Community Hospital with his family by his side. Born on February 18, 1938, to George, Sr. and Betty Mehochko, he was a graduate of Gardner High School.

Phil married Rosemarie Storm in 1957 and they had six children. He worked at Mobil Oil Refinery until his retirement. An avid car enthusiast, he established Riverside Restorations to pursue his passion for restoring old cars and enjoyed fishing.

Survived by his wife Rose, children James, Lynn, and Karen, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernie, George, Ed, Harold, and Robert, and children Sharon, Rodney, and Philip Jr.

Visitation will be at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. Robert Moynihan will officiate, with cremation rites to follow. Phil will be privately laid to rest in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Reeves, Fruland and Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory.
