Coal City Early Childhood Center's first graders celebrated the conclusion of their science unit on plants and animals with a field trip to Big Run Wolf Ranch.
The visit commenced with a presentation featuring a porcupine, lynx, and wolves. The presenters shared facts and allowed students to observe these animals closely.
Following the presentation, students toured the ranch, observing various animals including a tiger, black bear, cougar, coyote, and horse.
"It was a fantastic day full of learning, curiosity, and excitement! " said first-grade teacher Mrs. Stewart. "The trip helped bring our science unit to life and gave students a greater appreciation for wildlife. "
