Don Plott, 85, of Mazon, passed away on August 28, 2025. Survived by wife Liz, children Dave Plott, and Debbie Plott; filled various community roles and volunteered, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Western dancing. Fond of building homes, shared 50 years with Liz. Baseball coach, owner of Lazy8 Western Stores, Mayor, fire chief, and active community member. Survived by family and friends, preceded in death by parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Visitation on September 6, 2025, at Reeves Funeral Home, Coal City, funeral service at 12 p.m., burial at Mazon Brookside Cemetery. Memorials to Mazon Fire and Ambulance Department, Mazon Brookside Cemetery, MVK Food Pantry. Arrangements by Reeves, Fruland, and Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory in Coal City.
