Coal City High School’s PATH and Transitions classes recently volunteered at Our Caring Closet, a community care center located in Wilmington. The students worked alongside other volunteers on various tasks at the facility. According to school officials, the Transitions class has participated in volunteer activities at the center for the past four years.
Our Caring Closet is a nonprofit organization that provides household goods and clothing to people in need, aiming to do so in a respectful environment.
Coal City High School is part of Coal City Community Unit School District 1, which serves Grundy and Will counties. The district also includes Coal City Early Childhood Center, Coal City Elementary School, Coal City Intermediate School, and Coal City Middle School (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
