Riverside Healthcare has announced its re-designation as a Military Friendly® Employer for the year 2025. This marks the third consecutive year that the healthcare organization has received this recognition, highlighting its dedication to supporting military personnel and fostering an inclusive work environment.
The Military Friendly® Employer Award Ratings are designed to recognize organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to providing opportunities for individuals affiliated with the military. The designation is awarded to companies that create inclusive workplaces and offer meaningful opportunities for veterans and their families.
Phil Kambic, President and CEO of Riverside, expressed pride in the re-designation, stating, “We are proud to announce that Riverside has been re-designated as a 2025 Military Friendly® Employer. This re-designation reflects our continued commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for those who have served our nation.”
In support of this commitment, Riverside introduced the Veteran Affinity Group earlier this year. This initiative aims to connect military veterans, spouses, and dependents within the organization.
Tierra Dixon-Sullivan, Riverside DEI Coordinator and Army Veteran, praised the organization's efforts by saying, "It truly is wonderful to work for an organization that prioritizes military friendliness."
Riverside Healthcare will be featured among 338 employers in the December issue of G.I. Jobs® magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com as part of the 2025 Military Friendly® Employers list.

Riverside Healthcare operates throughout Kankakee, Iroquois, Will, Grundy counties, and beyond. It includes Riverside Medical Center—a 300-bed hospital recognized for its excellence in various medical fields—and several community health centers.
