Jim Wilson, Jr., 74, of Diamond, Illinois, Passes Away

Jim Wilson, Jr., 74, of Diamond, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Morris Hospital. Born on December 11, 1950, in Aurora, Illinois, Jim was the son of James Sr. and Caroline Ona Wilson. He worked at Telstar Plating until 1989 and raised his family with his partner, Shirley Domrzalski, in Diamond. Jim enjoyed video games, movies, especially action films, and music, with a favorite band being Dire Straits.

Survived by his life partner Shirley, daughters Chasity Smith and June Wilson, grandchildren Kayleigh Hullett and Zachary Shrove, sister Marie Kucera, sister-in-law Rose Miedl, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters, and best friend Steve Swartz. The visitation and service will be at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City on Saturday, June 14, 2025, with cremation rites to follow. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the care of Reeves, Fruland & Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory.
