Coal City High School will hold its first College Admissions Night on August 27 at 7 p.m. in the Coal City Performing Arts Center. The event is designed to help students and families understand the college application process, financial aid, and scholarships.

Admissions representatives Tyler Myers from Illinois State University and Faith Haley from the University of St. Francis will present information on topics related to searching for colleges and applying for admission. Both presenters will be available to answer questions starting at 6:30 p.m.

"The goal is to help students and their families with the exciting and sometimes overwhelming process of applying to college," organizers said. Questions about the event can be directed to Art Stafford at [email protected].

All students and families considering college after graduation are invited to attend. While preregistration is not required, it is available for those who wish to submit questions or suggest discussion topics ahead of time.
