The Coal City High School girls tennis team faced Joliet Catholic Academy on Monday, with the Angels securing a 7-0 victory over the Coalers.
Representing the Coalers in singles matches were Rebecca Hall, Kyla Kohler, and Lanie Winke. In doubles play, Camryn Planeta paired with Kyla Kohler, Kamryn Hansen teamed up with Bridget Feeney, Olivia Weatherbee played alongside Kayla Stalter, and Mackenzie Lovell partnered with Aubrey Jensen.
The Coalers are scheduled to compete again on Wednesday, September 24. The varsity team will host Plainfield Central at home while the junior varsity squad will travel to Plainfield Central. Both matches are set to begin at 4 p.m.
