Coal City High School’s Student Council organized a holiday-themed escape room for staff members during the daily Coaler Collaborative Time on Wednesday. Staff teams participated in the event, with Mrs. Cyrkiel, Mrs. Gerber, Mrs. Hayse, Mr. Leman, and Mr. Unger successfully completing the challenge to "Save Santa."
The Student Council includes students from all four grades and is advised by Allison Peterson and Stephanie Vuscko. The council has also planned a series of holiday dress-up days starting Monday, December 8, for the entire school.
While teachers were involved in the escape room activity, Principal Art Stafford and Assistant Principal Corey Mikula hosted games and activities for students.
“Thank you to all staff members who joined us, and thank you to Mr. Stafford and Mr. Mikula for hosting students,” Peterson said.
