Students at Coal City Middle School are engaging in a comprehensive health education program led by Mr. Bunton. The curriculum this quarter focuses on understanding six major body systems, including the nervous system, skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, circulatory system, and respiratory systems. The current focus is on the nervous system and its health benefits.
In addition to theoretical learning, Mr. Bunton's physical education classes emphasize practical fitness activities. Students participate in outdoor activities such as cornhole, bocce ball, and washers. They also maintain personal fitness through daily stretching and running or walking exercises.
The program will conclude with discussions on the adverse effects of tobacco use. Throughout the quarter, students have been commended for their hard work and positive attitude.
