Coal City discusses future plans for intermediate school
Chris Spencer Superintendent | Coal City Community Unit School District #1

Town Hall meetings held earlier this month drew around 90 participants to discuss the future of Coal City Intermediate School. The focus was on informing the community about the school's status and gathering public feedback.

During these sessions, the Board of Education presented several options: repair, renovate, or rebuild the school. Details from these meetings included various concepts, timelines, public questions, photographs of the school, and other relevant information.

The decision regarding Coal City Intermediate School will be made by the Board of Education with consideration for what benefits students, staff, and community stakeholders. Community input is encouraged in this process.

Residents with questions or insights about the information presented are invited to contact the school district before its meeting scheduled for February 5 via email.
