Coin Wars fundraiser supports Special Olympics Illinois

Coal City is organizing a fundraising event titled "Coin Wars" from February 24 to February 28, aiming to support the Polar Plunge team. The collected donations will be contributed entirely to Special Olympics Illinois.

Incentives are being offered for participation. The homeroom in each grade that raises the most money will be rewarded with a movie and popcorn party. Additionally, the homeroom that collects the highest amount across the entire school will have the opportunity to tape Mrs. Carlson to the wall during their lunch period.

The event seeks to engage students in charitable activities while supporting a meaningful cause.
