Riverside Healthcare has announced the promotion of Ellen Bollino to Vice President of Nursing. Bollino, who holds an RN, MSN, and CEN, brings decades of nursing and management experience to her new role.

Phil Kambic, Riverside Healthcare's President and CEO, praised Bollino's leadership skills during her time as Director of Nursing. "Her strong clinical expertise, combined with her keen understanding of operational and quality improvement principles, have made her an invaluable asset to our organization," Kambic stated. He expressed confidence in her ability to contribute significantly to Riverside's success.

In her new position, Bollino will oversee Inpatient Nursing, the Family Birthing Center, and Clinical Resource Management. She expressed enthusiasm for her new responsibilities: "I am honored to take on the role of Vice President of Nursing and look forward to leading Riverside Healthcare's dedicated team of nurses and nursing assistants as we continue to uphold the highest standard of compassion, innovation, and clinical excellence for the communities we serve."

Bollino has 23 years of nursing experience. Her previous roles include Director of Nursing and Director of Emergency Services at several medical centers in the Chicago area. Before these positions, she worked at Riverside for 15 years as Manager of Emergency and Observation Services.

Bollino holds a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University. She also earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Kankakee Community College. Additionally, she is a member of the Illinois Nursing Foundation American Nurses Association Bylaws Committee.
