Elementary school students in second and third grades recently participated in a bus safety program focused on emergency preparedness. The sessions covered key practices such as waiting calmly at the bus stop, careful entry and exit from the vehicle, sitting quietly with aisles clear, and following driver instructions.
As part of the program, students took part in evacuation drills where they practiced leaving the bus quickly and safely using front, rear, or emergency exits. Organizers said these lessons are intended to help students develop good habits and remain calm during emergencies while traveling to and from school.
"These lessons help our students build good habits, stay calm in emergencies, and keep everyone safe on the way to and from school," according to the statement.
