Auditions for the upcoming school musical, "Matilda, Jr.", are scheduled for fourth and fifth grade students of Coal City Intermediate School. The auditions will be held during recess on April 1 and April 2.
Participants should prepare to sing a piece for 30 to 60 seconds. They may also be asked to perform a brief scene. Additionally, students need to complete an information form at the audition. This form requires a parent contact number and a list of other activities and their schedules, such as athletics or private lessons.
This year's production is organized by the Coal City Theatre Department/Drama Club and will be directed by seniors Melody Kinder and Eliana Chernesky under the supervision of Katie Ludes. The performance is set for May 16 at the Coal City Performing Arts Center.
