Coal City Middle School Scholastic Bowl teams prepare for state series

The Coal City Middle School Scholastic Bowl A team ended their regular-conference season with five victories and five defeats. Now, the team is focusing on the upcoming Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) State series, starting with the regional competitions on April 30.

The state series is a significant occasion for four key eighth graders on the A team: Cameron Haas, RC Hollis, Tess Jeschke, and Damion Libner. As their last middle school matches approach, they aim to leave a strong impression in the postseason.

In contrast, the CCMS Scholastic Bowl B team finished their regular season without a loss, achieving an impressive 10-0 record, which underscores the strength and depth of the CCMS Scholastic Bowl program.
