Sandra Sue Cerny, age 87, of Coal City, passed away on April 27, 2025, at Goldwater Care in Pontiac, Illinois. Born in Lawrenceville, Illinois, she was the daughter of William Patten and Hazel Blackburn. Sandra found joy in painting, quilting, and sewing, showcasing her creative talents. She was known for her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness, especially cherished in the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sandra made her home with her husband, Anton, in Cocoa Beach, Florida, before moving to Coal City. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Cremation rites were held, and a private family memorial will be carried out, followed by inurnment in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
