The Coal City High School class of 2025 is set to receive their diplomas on Sunday, May 11. To conclude their final day of classes, the students made one last visit as a group to the schools they attended starting in kindergarten.
Senior Walk has become a cherished tradition, anticipated by graduates, former educators, and students who line the hallways to wish them well.
Sunday’s graduation ceremony will commence with the procession of graduates into the competition gym at 1:50 p.m., followed by the ceremony at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m.
Ahead of commencement, the school will recognize students named Acclaimed Coalers and Acclaimed Coalers Scholars during a ceremony at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 9. Academic recognition for the Top 10 percent will occur during Sunday afternoon's ceremony.
