Mary Lou Halliday, 74, of Joliet, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Lightways Hospice Home. Born on November 12, 1950, in Moorhead, Minnesota to Wallace and Rosemary Halliday, she dedicated 42 years to nursing, working at St. Joseph Hospital and the Joliet Medical Group.

Described as an avid reader and golfer, Mary Lou also enjoyed bowling and travelling, with a memorable trip to Spain. Known for her kindness, generosity, and love of shopping, she treasured time with family and friends, bringing joy to all.

Survived by her companion Terry McLaughlin, brothers Jan, James, and John, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, Mary Lou will be deeply missed. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded, and a graveside service will be held at Braceville Gardner Cemetery.
