On Friday, March 21, former Coal City High School standout Payton Hutchings’ current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 11-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Northwestern Wildcats.

The game took place at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park. This was their second matchup against the Wildcats this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 1 p.m. at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park against Northwestern Wildcats.
