Students at Coal City Intermediate School are participating in Homecoming festivities this week with themed dress-up days. Following the lead of high school students, fourth and fifth graders held "Rhyme without Reason Day," where students created and wore outfits based on unique rhyming pairs.
According to the school, the activity is part of a broader effort to engage younger students in school spirit events connected to Homecoming. The themed day encouraged creativity among participants as they came up with original rhyming costume ideas.
