Mrs. Friddle's second grade class at Coal City Elementary School has begun the new school year with several activities aimed at helping students get to know each other and reinforce their math skills. The students have been participating in a math game designed to review addition facts.
According to Mrs. Friddle, "This is going to be a wonderful school year!" She noted that her students are making new friends and enjoying their time together as they settle into their routines.
The start of the academic year marks an important period for building classroom community and reviewing foundational skills for young learners.
