Students in Mrs. Bormet’s class at Coal City Elementary School are working on their writing skills by composing letters to their former teachers. The activity focuses on teaching students how to properly structure a letter, use complete sentences, and apply correct punctuation. According to Mrs. Bormet, the assignment offers students an opportunity to practice grammar and penmanship while maintaining connections with past teachers. “The students are so excited to deliver their letters,” Mrs. Bormet said.
