Senior members of the Coal City High School boys soccer team were recognized during Senior Night for their dedication and achievements in the program. The students honored included Jake Peters, Aidan Kenney, Kaleb Reinert, Luke Munsterman, Colton Lemmons, Mick Kelly, Dane Noffsinger, Adrian Dames, Julian Micetich, Carsen Hart, Martin Ramirez, and Colton Siron.
Jake Peters has participated in soccer for two years and is also involved in football and Coaler Creations. He plans to attend Joliet Junior College after graduation to finish his AIM course and work at a power plant. On Senior Night he was escorted by his parents, Jason and Melissa Peters.
Aidan Kenney is completing his second season with the team. He previously played football for two years and wrestled on the school’s team. Kenney is a two-time state qualifying wrestler with a fourth place finish this past year. His 9-4 decision in the dual team finals helped secure the wrestling team's second state championship in three years. He intends to study engineering at a four-year university. Aidan was escorted by his parents, Jeremy and Jen Kenney.
Kaleb Reinert was recognized for four years with the soccer program as well as participation on the boys tennis team. After graduation he will attend Guilford Technical Community College in North Carolina as part of the FAME program to earn an associate degree in Mechatronics. He was honored along with his parents Jason and Alesia Reinert.
Luke Munsterman is also a four-year member of the soccer program who has participated in wrestling, Coalers with Character, and Spanish Honors Society. Munsterman is a state qualifying wrestler who contributed key victories at last year’s dual state tournament to help win the title. He plans to continue playing soccer at community college while studying business and completing an HVAC program before taking over Munsterman Plumbing and HVAC Inc., accompanied on Senior Night by his mother Jen Munsterman.
Colton Lemmons completed four years with Coaler soccer alongside experience in wrestling and track and field; he plans to pursue computer science at college following graduation. His family—mom Danielle Sobesky; dad Jason Lemmons; stepdad William Sobesky; grandmother Cathy Sloyan—accompanied him on Senior Night.
Mick Kelly finished three years with soccer while also participating in tennis; he aims to attend Joliet Junior College for a career in trades. His parents Mary and Michael Gagliardo accompanied him during recognition.
Dane Noffsinger played all four high school years on the soccer team while participating in basketball as well as National Honors Society, Student Council, and Coalers with Character; he hopes to continue playing collegiate soccer but remains undecided about where he will attend college or university next year. Parents Mike and Brenna Noffsinger escorted him during festivities.
Adrian Dames spent four years on varsity soccer intending now to play at Joliet Junior College post-graduation; Shawn and Joanna Dames joined him for recognition night.
Julian Micetich played four seasons of high school soccer along with involvement in basketball (two-time track/field state qualifier), seventh-place finisher last year’s 100m hurdles event), plus activities such as Fall Play/Spring Musicals/Math Team/Student Council (Class Secretary)/Link Leaders/POPS/Drama Club/Coalers With Character). Micetich plans pre-med biology studies toward becoming an endocrinologist after attending university next fall; Jon & Juli Micetich attended Senior Night beside him.
Carsen Hart participated all four high school years—also active through Tennis/Pickleball Club/Coalers With Character/Coaler Creations—and plans further education beyond graduation: Shane & Carissa Hart served as escorts during ceremonies.
Martin Ramirez completed four seasons of high school varsity play alongside being a state-qualifying tennis player/band member/Music Honor Society/National Honor Society member: he expects aviation studies toward piloting after university attendance post-graduation—with Noel & Crystal Ramirez joining recognition night escort duties.
Colton Siron closes out his fourth season planning finance studies at a four-year institution post-graduation—with Casey & Janna Siron accompanying him that evening.
