The Coalers Girls Tennis Team from Coal City Community Unit School District 1 secured a 5-0 victory over Princeton on Tuesday, September 30. In singles matches, Rebecca Hall won against Tessa Carlson with scores of 6-1 and 6-0. Kyla Kohler also contributed with a win, finishing 6-4 and 6-2.
In doubles competition, Camryn Planeta and Bridget Feeney defeated Ava Munson and Anna Ellis in three sets: 5-7, 6-3, and 10-7. Kyla Stark and Lanie Winke earned another point for the team with a straight-set victory of 6-3, 6-3. Kamryn Hansen and Olivia Weatherbee closed the match by winning their doubles game after three sets: 5-7, 6-4, and 10-7.
The team will play again on Tuesday, October 7 at LaSalle-Peru High School with the match scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
