A group of students at Coal City Intermediate School recently participated in an activity focused on gratitude, the school's character trait for November. Mrs. Boresi’s class concluded the month by expressing appreciation to one another.

As part of the exercise, students discussed the meaning of gratitude, defining it as being thankful and showing appreciation for people who improve their lives. Each student wrote several sentences about their classmates, highlighting what they appreciated about them and what made each person special. At the end of the activity, every student received a booklet containing all the notes written by their peers.

Mrs. Boresi explained, "Gratitude means being thankful and showing appreciation for the people that make our lives better."

The initiative aimed to foster a sense of community and positive relationships among students at Coal City Intermediate School.
