Rebecca Pendergast Assistant Principal | Early Childhood Center

The kindergarten art students at the Early Childhood Center recently engaged in their first finger painting session. During an art class, the young students discussed various signs of fall they observed in nature. One student noted birds flying south, while another shared how his family harvests garden vegetables during this season.

The students explored different techniques for applying paint to paper, learning that artists are not limited to using paintbrushes. They created mixed media fall trees using oil pastels and rubbing crayons before painting the leaves with their fingers.

Art teacher Julie Brncich commented on the outcome, stating, "Their fall trees turned out beautifully!"
