Marching Coaler Band honors senior members' dedication

Senior members of the Marching Coaler Band and color guard were honored on Senior Night for their dedication to the music program. Kyliee Jones, accompanied by her mother Jen Weller, plans to enter the workforce after high school.

Ava Meyer, a drum major this season, is involved in multiple activities including jazz band and soccer. She was escorted by Sarah Brooks and Eric and Amanda Meyer and plans to pursue veterinary medicine.

Mackenzie Messina participates in symphonic and jazz bands as well as the musical pit orchestra. Escorted by Dominic and Stephanie Messina, she aims to study animation at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Derek Berglund is active in color guard, winter guard, pep band, concert band, and Student Ambassadors at CCHS. He was accompanied by Trisha and Brian Berglund with plans to study nursing at Olivet Nazarene University.

Avery McConnell has been part of the color guard for three years. Her parents Pete and Kelly McConnell joined her on Senior Night as she prepares to study criminology in college.

Melody Kinder served as drum major for two seasons alongside involvement in theater and speech. She was escorted by Justin and Carmen Kinder with intentions to double major in music and biology at Olivet Nazarene University.

Hunter Patterson's contributions were recognized with his parents Scott and Nicole Patterson present. He plans further education at Joliet Junior College after four years in percussion.

Mayson Wontroba also participated for four years, engaging in tennis, jazz band, among others. Julia DiGiacomo and Richard Boys supported him on Senior Night as he looks forward to university studies.

Shaun Polarek's achievements were celebrated with brothers Tyler and Logan Polarek attending. His future involves studying computer engineering at a four-year college.

Vincenzo Mugnolo has been active in Scholastic Bowl, Speech Club while planning a music education degree at Illinois State University; he was escorted by Vincent and Danielle Mugnolo.

Adehlia Rivera aims to become a pharmacy technician after contributing four years to the marching band; she was joined by Memory and Don Rivera on Senior Night.
