Dakota Clubb, a senior and four-year member of the Lady Coaler golf team, was honored on Senior Night. Clubb, who was the 2023 Ladies Golf ICE Conference Champion, plans to study criminology at Joliet Junior College after graduation. Coach Tim Gabehart praised her contributions to the team since her freshman year, saying she will be missed. She was accompanied by her parents Brandon and Stephanie Clubb.
Peyton Gibson joined the golf team this season and has shown significant improvement. "Her scores are decreasing every meet which signifies dedication," said Coach Gabehart. In addition to golf, Gibson is active in several school organizations including National Honor Society and FBLA. Her future plans include attending a four-year college to study nursing. She was escorted by her parents Heather and Greg Gibson.
Kylee Kennell, another senior with four years on the team, serves as captain and qualified for state in 2023. "Her goal this year is not just to qualify for state but to place in the top 10," noted Coach Gabehart. Kennell participates in various activities such as Coaler Basketball and Yearbook. She aims to become a pediatric occupational therapist after attending a four-year university. Her parents Harlan and Danielle Kennell were present on Senior Night.
D’Arcy Ness has been part of the Lady Coaler Golf team for three years despite missing her junior season due to an ACL injury. Coach Gabehart described her as "a very consistent player." Besides golf, Ness plays softball and basketball and is involved with Coalers with Character. She plans to pursue a career in education following high school. Her parents Randy and Jennifer Ness escorted her during the event.
Madi Petersen is in her second year on the golf team while also playing travel softball. "Her work ethic is outstanding," said Coach Gabehart, noting her dual commitment to both sports often results in long days. Petersen's extracurricular activities include Art Club and Spanish Honor Society among others. She intends to become a physical therapist after attending college for four years. Her parents Branden and Stephanie Petersen accompanied her on Senior Night.
