Coal City High School students learn forensic skills through fingerprint analysis

Leah Hajdu Administrative Assistant to Finance | Coal City Community Unit School District 1

In a forensics class at Coal City High School, students are learning the intricacies of fingerprint analysis. Led by Mr. Looper and Ms. T, the students engage in collecting and examining fingerprints using dust, brushes, and tape. This hands-on experience includes participating in a simulated crime scene investigation.

The exercise requires students to collect fingerprints from three potential suspects and identify the prime suspect by comparing these prints with those found at the crime scene.
