Village of Coal City | Mayor David Spesia

The Village of Coal City Planning and Zoning Board approved the addition of a deputy police chief during its November 25 board meeting.

Sergeant Mike Imhof was appointed to this newly created position at the same meeting. The Board also passed Resolution 24-12, which outlines appropriate police department expenditures to support the new role.

According to the Coal City Police Department, it is led by Police Chief Christopher R. These personnel serve approximately 5,700 citizens with assignments that include school resource officer, elderly service officer, evidence technician, and investigations.
