Daniel Gene Westrick, 64, of Diamond, Illinois, Appreciated for Artistic Talents

Daniel Gene Westrick, aged 64, of Diamond, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his home. Born on January 28, 1960, in Auburn, Indiana, Daniel showcased his artistic talents from a young age. Raised in Wilmington, Illinois, he graduated from Wilmington High School and pursued a career in cosmetology, working as a hair stylist at C'zar Salon in Naperville and at Joe's Flower Shop in Lisle, Illinois.

Known for his creative spirit, Daniel had a deep appreciation for various art forms, including watercolor painting, set productions, and music. His eclectic nature and sharp sense of humor endeared him to all he encountered. Survived by his partner of 31 years, Stephen Davis, one sister, Christina Fiedler of Joliet, Illinois, one brother, James Westrick of California, and niece Nicole and nephew Joshua Fiedler. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Betty, and his brother Gary Westrick.

In accordance with Daniel's wishes, cremation rites are being honored with no planned services at this time. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guestbook and share memories of Daniel through his memorial page on social media. Cremation services and arrangements have been entrusted to Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory in Coal City, Illinois.
