On July 9, 1955, Jackie married Robert R. Kurz, establishing a love story that lasted 63 ½ years. Together, they had two children. Jackie held various roles, from a crossing guard to an office manager, embracing each with dedication and adaptability. In retirement, she shared her love for exploration through the Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau, leading tours and bus trips that brought her joy and connection.
Jackie's vibrant spirit, storytelling, and commitment to family and community will be cherished. She leaves behind her son Robert, daughter-in-law Lori, grandchildren, god-daughters, cousins, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, daughter Cory Ann Kurz, husband Robert R. Kurz, Sr., and other family members.
Services included a visitation at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City, followed by committal services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, where Jackie was laid to rest beside her husband, Bob.
