Joe Cora Remembered for Selflessness and Kindness

Joe Cora, born on May 20, 1968, peacefully passed away surrounded by family and friends on the evening of December 7, 2024, as the sky showcased a vibrant sunset, bringing calm and peace to all. Described as a man of love and forgiveness, Joe touched the hearts of many with his selfless nature and wholehearted love for those around him.

A dedicated worker, Joe ran his own roofing company, but his true calling lay in mentoring individuals struggling with addiction and providing fatherly guidance to those in need. His compassion knew no bounds, and he was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. Joe's family meant everything to him, including his wife Lori, daughters Michaela Phillips, Alana Phillips, and AnnMarie Cora, as well as his cherished grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his loving sisters, Kathie Favero, Teri Cora, and Jan Keefer, mother-in-law RuthAnn Brady, father-in-law Larry Bushue, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and close friends. He was welcomed in heaven by his parents, John and June Cora, father-in-law James Brady, and brother-in-law Troy Bushue.

In his final days, Joe experienced a "living funeral," surrounded by family and friends sharing stories, laughter, tears, and love, honoring his life and legacy. Cremation rites were accorded, as Joe wished no public service to be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to establish an education fund for his youngest daughter, AnnMarie, are appreciated.
