On January 22, the math team from Coal City High School attended a conference meet in Streator. The Coalers achieved second place overall with a score of 277 points.

Sophomore Aiden Meister competed independently in the Level 1 Team Comprehensive Category and tied for first place with Lisle, scoring 51 points.

In team events, Anthony Aultz, Jacob Cimino, and Cade Poyner secured third place in the Level 2 Comprehensive Team category. Freshmen Jaiden Leman, Xavier Baer, Grace Sitar, Abi Rose, and Colton Bailey took second place in linear equations and word problems. Dominick Chellino and Adia Serna claimed second place in right triangles.

Upperclassmen Aubrey Grunwald, Colin Schimandle, Keirsten Gabehart, Kenzie Lovell, Anthony Royster, Layla Miller, Jacob Cimino (also mentioned earlier), Kiera Brodnick, Maria Campagna, Julian Micetich, Brandon Baut, Kyle Cheever, Hunter Nettles, Gavin Berger, Kamryn Hansen, Peyton Gibson and Liam Seeley placed in all five categories they participated in.
