Coal City Middle School has a tradition of recognizing students who exemplify specific character traits each month. This initiative involves nominating students from all three grade levels, as well as Encore classes, based on their demonstration of the chosen trait. For January, the focus was on leadership.
During an assembly held on Friday, January 24th, six students were honored for their leadership qualities. The sixth-grade recipients were Kam Gabehart and Lily Connor-Mikos. From the seventh grade, Daisy Bell and Carter Shain were recognized. Olivia Ferrari and Reed Sulzberger represented the eighth grade. Additionally, Marina Figge and Aidan Morgan were acknowledged from the Encore classes.
Each student received a certificate and a gift card in recognition of their achievements.
