Fourth grade students engage in hands-on math activities with measurement techniques

Fourth grade students in Mrs. Gernenz’s class participated in practical math exercises involving measurements and conversions. The students, working in small teams, used rulers and yardsticks to measure various items around their classroom and hallway. They recorded the measurements in both customary and metric units, which were later converted into smaller units. Mrs. Gernenz's approach aims to provide hands-on experience in applying mathematical concepts in real-world scenarios, facilitating a better understanding of both measures and conversions.
