On Wednesday, three students from the Coal City school district were recognized as the first “Fans of the Game.” Brooklyn Blaine from Early Childhood Center, Quinn Koehn from Coal City Elementary School, and Colin Muhlenbruch from Coal City Intermediate School were surprised by their building principals and Brad Boresi, Coal City High School Athletic Director.

The students were chosen for this recognition based on their positive behavior, good decision making, and a strong start to the school year. Each student received a Coalers gift basket containing apparel, candy, and vouchers for use at Friday night’s varsity football game.

They will be acknowledged during halftime at the varsity football game scheduled for Friday, September 12.

Chris Spencer, Superintendent of Schools, stated: "The students were selected by their building principal based on their positive behavior, good decision making, and tremendous start to the school year."
