Carter Gill and Keirsten Gabehart were named Coal City High School's Homecoming king and queen for 2025. The announcement took place during halftime at the annual seniors versus staff flag football game on Monday. Both students were selected by their peers for this honor.
The homecoming court includes Julian Micetich, Gavin Berger, Drake Stewart, Maria Campagna, Addison Harvey, and Mckenna Stewart. Homecoming week activities will continue with themed dress-up days, spirit games scheduled for Wednesday, a pep assembly on Thursday, a parade on Friday afternoon followed by a football game, and the high school dance taking place Saturday night.
Coal City High School is part of the Coal City Community Unit School District 1. The district serves Grundy and Will counties and includes several schools: Coal City Early Childhood Center, Coal City Elementary School, Coal City Intermediate School, Coal City Middle School, and Coal City High School.
