Coalers girls golf team posts record-breaking scores at recent tournaments

Last week, the Coalers Girls Golf team participated in two 18-hole tournaments, with all team members achieving career low scores.

On September 15, Joey Kline, Tori Harrington, Kayla Kowalski, Jackie Dodge, and Chloe Anders played at Wolf Creek Golf Course in Pontiac. On September 18, Joey Kline, Jackie Dodge, Emma Sinkular, Kylan Colabuono, and Abi Rose returned to the same course for another round. Joey Kline posted consecutive career low scores of 105 in both rounds. Jackie Dodge also shot a 105. Kayla Kowalski and Abi Rose each carded career low scores of 102. Emma Sinkular achieved her best score with a 99.

The team is scheduled to return to Wolf Creek on Monday, September 22 for their third round there within seven days as part of the Illinois Central Eight Conference Tournament.

Coal City Community Unit School District 1 represents schools in Grundy and Will counties and includes several schools such as Coal City High School and Coal City Middle School.
