Early Childhood Center students participate in music education activities

Early Childhood Center students in Coal City are engaging in a variety of music activities during their classes. The curriculum includes singing, practicing musical notation, playing instruments, and movement to music. Kindergarteners are currently learning the folk dance "Go Round and Round the Village." First grade students participate in a game called "Forte Dog," which focuses on listening skills, understanding dynamics, and playing different instruments.

Coal City Community Unit School District 1 serves Grundy and Will counties and includes several schools: Coal City Early Childhood Center, Coal City Elementary School, Coal City High School, Coal City Intermediate School, and Coal City Middle School.
