Students in Mrs. Gernenz’s fourth-grade classroom participated in an educational session on germination as part of their November Agriculture in the Classroom Soybean lesson. The students engaged in a hands-on activity by planting a germinating necklace, which allowed them to observe the process of germination firsthand.
The children were provided with soybeans, soil crystals, water, and a small clear plastic bag to monitor the transformation of soybeans into plants. The lesson also included several facts about soybeans and their various uses.
