Miss Minnick's fourth and fifth-grade English/language arts class recently hosted a Snowman Party to showcase the students' creative work. The event took place on Thursday, December 19, where students presented their original snowman stories to an audience of family and friends.
Among the presenters were Zavien, Amelia, Novah, Jack, Eli, Beau, McKenna, and Zeke. Each student shared a unique story accompanied by their own illustrations.
Zavien's story featured "Goofy Stars the Snowman" enjoying a day at a waterpark with chicken nuggets in hand. Amelia's tale revolved around a trip to Walmart to purchase a Barbie dream house and spending time with her snowman named Miss Minnick.
Novah described an action-packed day filled with playground slides, basketball courts, and wave pools before heading back to school for math lessons. Jack imagined his snowman celebrating Halloween by throwing snowballs at night while listening to music.
Eli wrote about "Cart the Snowman's" journey to the zoo amidst traffic delays but ultimately enjoying sea animals like sharks and whales. Beau's narrative included a visit to the zoo as well where frogs joined in for a playful snowball fight followed by sledding adventures.
McKenna depicted her snowman's preparations for a party involving shopping trips to Sephora and Chick-fil-A before having fun at the dance party with new friends. Finally, Zeke's story centered on Bentley who worried about being late for school yet found joy in visiting his favorite animals at the zoo.
The event was well-received by those present who appreciated both storytelling skills and artistic efforts put forth by Miss Minnick’s class during this festive occasion celebrating creativity through literature combined with visual artistry.
